I was actually just talking to a friend of mine about how frequently we feel like we look kinda, well, not put together. Working a job where the sole purpose of the outfit I put on in the morning is just to get me from my car, across the park to the stage I work at, and into my dressing room before changing into a costume means I put next to zero thought into what I throw on.
This makes me feel like crud.
This "crud-like" feeling only got worse as I started losing weight and everything I wore looked like a giant trash bag. 9 times out of 10 you can spot me looking like a ragamuffin. I'm sick of it. I've worked my booty off to get healthy and look good and it's time I took pride in how I present myself on a daily basis.
Well I've said it before, but I mean it this time! It's time for a change!
Time to put some effort into what I wear... at least once a week.
(Hey, you gotta start somewhere!)
For as long as I can remember, I've seen lots of bloggers posting through a link up called "What I Wore Wednesday" w/ the Pleated Poppy. I thought this would be the perfect way to keep myself accountable! If I have to share what I wore on a weekly basis, in theory, I'll actually put in some effort!
Here's hoping! Because goodness knows I'm tired of looking like a bum. :/
This week's "Hey I can look decent!" outfit is brought to you by a night out w/ my sister to see one of the local modern dance companies here in Orlando. The founder/choreographer/everything-amazing-extraordinaire is a friend of ours and we had the opportunity to go support his brilliant work and that of his talented dancers.
Success! One week down of making an effort, only the rest of my life to go...
I know I've seen a lot of bloggers have their significant others take their pictures for them. Usually, Casey is working so I use a tripod. For these however, Casey was home and he took them for me! But that also means I ended up with these gems...
Best. Photographer. Ever.
Thanks for bringing out my pretty side babe.
So do you all find it hard to put in effort on a daily basis? What are your go to tricks for day to day? Seriously, I could use the help.
